Difference between White Gold and Platinum
Hello! Everybody
Do you know the difference between white gold and platinum?
We handle these two types of materials in our shop.
Because both material are the same platinum color,
there are times when people say
"I know the name, but since the colors are similar, I don't really know."
A literal translation of the English word White Gold in Japanese→ 白金(Hakkinn)
The English word platinum is also → 白金(Hakkinn)
Are they both the same? That is not the case.
At jewelry stores, it is written as follows:
White Gold → White Gold
Platinum → 白金(Hakkinn)
In the first place, the materials used for both white gold and platinum are different 💍
White gold is one of the alloys because it contains gold.
For example, in the case of 18K white gold, 75% is gold and the remaining 25% is another material.
Since color of gold is golden, this 25% material is used to create the whiteness of white gold.
Because the original material is gold, it's a little gray rather than white 🎨
Many white gold products are rhodium-plated, which hides this gray tint.
By the way, the rings at our shop are not plated so that you can enjoy the original color of the material!
And platinum = platinum,
Our platinum is Pt900.
It is 90% platinum.
The remaining 10% is another material.
Platinum is resistant to discoloration and deterioration,
Pt900 is a material that is less susceptible to deformation and scratches than Pt950 and Pt999.
In addition, in our shop, you can choose your favorite shape and pattern so the choice is not limited to only the material.
Not only circles, but also quadrangles and octagons, PocoPoco KataKata ZaraZara ...
Glossy, matte ...
There is also warmth because it is handmade.
Your own ring of your choice.
Only one ring in the world is completed.
