Step by Step Handmade Rings

I'm Connie from itoaware-Osaka.

After we welcome you into our shop, you can freely try on our many ring samples.

Then we will explain the process of choosing the ring step by step.

Step 1: Let's choose the material for the ring

itoaware offers silver and 6 kinds of gold.

The gold variations are, green gold (10K), yellow gold (10K)  (18K),

pink gold (10K)  (18K), and white gold (18K).

Step 2: Let's decide the width of the ring

At itoaware, we have silver from 1.0mm 〜 3.0mm, gold 1.0mm 〜 2.5mm at 0.5mm intervals.

(What we have depends on our stock of the day.)

Which width to choose depends on which finger you want to wear your ring.

At our shop, we have a card explaining the meaning of wearing the ring on each of your fingers on your left hand and your right hand. When deciding you may want to refer to this and select the width that fits the finger of your choice.

Step 3: Choose the shape of the ring.::

itoaware offers three different shapes....the standard round "circle", the "octagon" that is said in feng shui to bring you good luck, and  the unique "square".

Step 4: Let's decide the texture to put on the surface of the ring with a hammer.

At itoaware, we offer three different textures.

"PocoPoco" is a bumpy uneven texture which is cute and casual,

"KataKata" is a stylish texture with thin vertical lines.

"ZaraZara" has a rough surface .

The texture has quite an effect in changing the image of the ring

The texture itself is also affected by the strength by which you hit the ring with a hammer

so the outcome differs from ring to ring thereby creating  your "one and only" ring.

Step 5:  Let's consider the options

In addition to the basic process of ring-making, the following options can be added.

● Silver ring glossy finish  (+¥1,000)

● Inscription on the inside of the ring (every 5 characters +¥1,000) 

● Combination ・K10 ・ K18 (processing fee +¥4,000)
