Flow of ring-making experience

Every itoaware ring is handmade by our craftsmen. First of all, we will create a base ring according to the material, shape and width selected by our customer. Then the surface of the ring is textured according to the selected pattern. The carefully handcrafted ring has a great fit. Whichever finger you choose to wear the ring, it will fit comfortably compared to commercially available ready-made rings.

Our customers can also experience the process of texturing the patter onto the surface of the ring themselves. Even if you think you are clumsy and do not feel confident, you will be able to do it as our professional staff will give you advice. "How do I put in the texture?" For those who want to know what you actually do, today I will introduce the process of making the rings in detail.

Working process of ring-making experience

Step 1.   Let's put the ring on the size bar

Step 2.   Hold the ring with your thumb and forefinger

Step 3.  Let's put a pattern on the surface of the ring.

             While rotating the ring together with the size rod, strike the surface of the ring with a hammer at a right angle.

Step 4.  Feel   the ring expand.

             The textured ring gradually begins to move downwards on the size bar.

Step 5.  Turn the ring upside down.

              It you strike the ring with a hammer for about 3 laps, remove the ring from the size bar. This time, reverse the top and bottom and re-insert the ring through the size bar.

Step 6.  Stop once before you reach your size.

             Stop striking the ring with the hammer  before you reach the position of the size measured by the ring guage.

Step 7.  Let's check the size

             Put the ring on your finger and check the size.

Step 8.  You may have to continue striking the ring with the hammer.

              Is the size still tight? If  you think so, then place the ring on the size bar again and continue to strike it for one lap or two.

Sep 9.  Let's check the size again.

            Put the ring on your finger again to check how the ring fits. If it is just right, then the ring-making experience is over.

How was it?  Check the size by striking it once again and it is not yet enough to fit perfectly, then strike it again.  By repeating this process from Step 7 to Step 9, you can get a ring that fits comfortably. 

Our professional craftman will polish the ring after our customer completes the texturing process. The ring is complete after the final finishing touch.
