About the color of gold
Hello
I'm Yamada the staff of itoaware, Osaka🐈
I'm going to write about the color of gold, which is often talked about these days.💭
At itoaware you can choose 10K and 18K,
・Yellow gold (10K, 18K)
・Pink gold (10K, 18K)
・Green gold (10K)
・White gold (18K)
"Why are the colors different even though they are the same gold? 🤔"
The answer is the difference in the combination of metals
The content of 24K gold is pure gold, it is 100%,
18K gold content is {100×(18/24)}.....75%
10K gold content is {100×(10/24)}.....42%
The remaining 15% and 58% are mainly copper and silver etc. 💐
Of this remaining formulation,
High proportion of copper → Pink gold 🌸
High proportion of silver → Green Gold 🌱
The metal inbetween pink gold and green gold (contains both copper and silver) → yellow gold 🌻
And the color changes
White gold has been produced as an alternative to platinum,
In order to bring the colors closer together, platinum and palladium belonging to the white metal group have been added.
Even so, it may be slightly yellowish, so it may be plated to make it look white 🌼
Color gold is produced in this way,
The percentage of the mixed metals differs according to the company handling it.
It is interesting because the color may change slightly depending on the supplier 🧪
Also, the characteristics of gold depends on the proportion of the type of metal that is blended.
How easily the surface can get scratched and the strength of the gold changes accordingly.
However.....
it will be long, so I will write about this again 🙂
Thank you for reading to the end 🎀
